Only Love Can Enter In

Mom wrote this poem on a ceramic plate for her mother

who keeps it hanging up in her bedroom.

Mom tried to enter the poem

to the Christian Science Monitor,

but they wouldn't publish it.

I belive she wrote this in the mid 70's.

  1. I like poetry! My mother was a ceramic teacher for years and years, but now paints in watercolors. My sister, mom, and I also scrapbook and I also rubber stamp! Mom is also quilting at the moment as well.

  2. Mom wrote that poem and then painted it on this plate she made for her Mother. She had entered it in years back to be published in the Christian Science Monitor but the church didn't feel it was something that should be printed in their monitor. I tried to have it published in the monitor for Mother's Day a couple of years ago & they denied it again. So I posted it on my blog. :)
